What are the goals and objectives of the MicroConsignment Model (MCM)?

Goal:

To design and implement innovative, practical, efficient and effective entrepreneurial solutions that create sustainable access to currently unavailable essential products and services to vulnerable villagers in the developing world.

Objectives:

Rural Access

  • To increase the standard of living of villagers by providing them with the opportunity to purchase previously unavailable products/services that create a positive healthcare, financial, and, where achievable, environmental and educational impact.

Entrepreneurs

  • To create new and economically compelling entrepreneurial opportunities for low income individuals and organizations by providing appropriate financing, training, and support in vocational and core business skills so that they may sustainably provide rural access to essential products and services.

Social Enterprise

  • To create and support a self-sustainable, growth-oriented, and locally owned company that supports a network of entrepreneurs who provide continuous opportunities for both product/service and geographical diversification.
